Summer glau

Firefly is Whedon his next major popular television show. She must have left an impression on viewers, as this single episode was the catalyst for her being a celebrity. Her River Tam character was complex and Glau was able to handle it. The character of Summer Glau, Tam was forced to sit for government exams in order to prepare her to play an ideal assassin. Tam's capacity to control her emotions was taken away from her. Glau had the opportunity to showcase not just her acting abilities but also her skills as a combat ace as a character in Firefly. The fact that she was learning to be an assassin allowed Glau to fully use her athletic skills. The classical background of Summer Glau makes her a highly accomplished ballerina. Broken toes marked the final straw for her as a dancer. Firefly was only on for only one season but it gained a huge fan following. Whedon came back to it several years later.
