Personal highlights for her so to date, including being selected by Snoop Dogg to join him on stage during the YouTube Brandcast in May 2013 Niykee is able to maintain a steady songwriting routine despite the whirlwind of recent times. As a producer magnet, Niykee is constantly looking through the many beats that are delivered to her. She has found that the majority are a source of new music ideas. It's easy to tell when a beat's excellent after just five seconds and then I'll have a song in my mind and begin creating right away, she adds. My lyrics come to me while I'm sitting on my porch, playing my guitar. Usually it takes under 30 minutes. In her development her skills as a lyricist, Niykee explains that the pain of her experiences in the past is a constant source of sources of inspiration. Even when she's not writing about events that are actually happening, all of her pain from childhood and losing her younger sister find its way into the music. The resulting music is shaped by my experiences and adds a greater sense of meaning that I believe is extremely important. I would like to be able to listen to my music 20 years from now and still feel proud about what I have to say.
