Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Jamesenez on September 2, 1966 is an American and Mexican actor and producer. In Mexico she began her career in the role of Teresa in the telenovela (1989-1991) and also as El Callejon de los Milagros (1995), where she was nominated for an Ariel Award. From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Dogma (1999) and Desperado (1995) are just some of her many Hollywood credits. Hayek's portrayal as painter Frida Kahlo in the biographical film Frida (2002) which she also wrote she became the first Mexican actress to be nominated to the Academy Award for Best Actress[6Additionally, she was awarded the Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. Later on, Hayek focused more on filmmaking while also appearing in action-oriented films such as Once Upon a Time in Mexico
